Dear Members,

Ailsa is preparing for a presentation at this year’s British Society for Rheumatology conference about 'The Future of Patient Choice in Biologics'. The objectives of the symposium are as follows:
• Review the factors influencing treatment decisions in rheumatology, assessing their relative importance from the point of view of both health professionals and patients
• Examine more closely the role, needs and behaviours of patients in the management of their condition, taking into account impact of therapies on patients
• Explore the implications for future collaboration between patients and health professionals of the recent government White Paper on NHS reform

If you are someone who has a diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis and are either about to start a biologic, are on a biologic or are switching to a different biologic, we would be grateful if you have a few moments to take the following survey CLICK HERE TO TAKE SURVEY (only 8 questions) and help inform Ailsa’s presentation.

Many thanks!

Done.

Although perhaps someone can pass on to Ailsa that you couldn't tick multiple boxes so it may be a bit vague!! I looked on the internet for most of my information, but that was after the consultant had told me about it and given me some very basic leaflets! I couldn't seem to put this down - and selected internet - as that was where I got the really detailed information.

It was also the nursing staff that gave the info about administering options - although this did change half way through the set up procedure and I ended up using Healthcare at home - which has at loads of delivery problem issues! (ie 3 hours late, and 4 hours late so far!) Had I known I might have chosen differently!!

Done! That was easy :)

Like you Anne, I get most of my info on treatments from the internet. I think the questions were asking for the 'main' area in which case our answers would be correct. I suspect most people have a combination of references ... we are told then go away and do more research ... and more and more!!
